Windows 8 Deal

Microsoft has officially announced that they will be giving users who have purchased a windows machine over the summer will get a deal for upgrading to windows 8. The deal is only $15 to upgrade your machine and $40 for anyone with a windows machine regardless of when you have purchased it. The deal gets you one copy of windows 8 pro. The deal has sparked remarks concerning Microsoft wants people to get to windows 8 and off of windows machines with windows xp, vista and 7.

Steven Spielberg is driven to make films that give him fright. He says it's what drives him to make a good film and confront his fear. According to Mr. Spielberg, he requires fear to run towards something to accomplish it.

Very Large Pot Bust Without Any Arrests

Chicago police find about 1500 pot plants being grown in the city and haven't made any arrests as of now. The estimated payday the farmers that have grown the plants would have made is about $10,000,000. That's right, ten million dollars. According to the police, the farm was discovered via helicopter while the helicopter was going back to it's hanger. The sheriff and deputy on the helicopter had noticed some bright plants and just happened to have gotten curious. Their defense for not noticing it earlier is because the trees and lighting have never really been good enough to spot anything down there.

The Almighty Spider!

An endangered spider known as the meshweaver has been discovered during road construction and has halted it. The meshweaver spider has been thought to be extinct for over 30 years now so biologists are excited to have possibly have found a forgotten spider. Even though this amazing discovery is cool and what not, the construction workers are thinking otherwise as they cannot continue their jobs until the an agreement is made between U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Federal Highway Administration on what to do with the spider and construction. Biologists have a feeling there might be more around the area.

Amazon Expandation

Amazon is now expanding its distribution centers to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Indiana, New Jersey, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Unfortunately for the expansion, consumers in the area will likely have to pay sales tax accordingly as Amazon had to come to an agreement to lawmakers.

Local business owners for the areas are not very excited for Amazons expansion since the competition and has increased majorly.

Toothbrush to the Rescue!

Have you ever been threatened that your toothbrush would be used to clean the toilet? Well, an astronaut on the International Space Station used his to clean a bolt. The bolt was sticking and was not cooperating with the astronauts, so they decided to improvise and tie a toothbrush to a metal pole to clean the pole with.

The standard EVA takes about eight hours with only six hours in space, but since the bolt wasn't cooperating, the astronauts had to stay in the suits for ten hours! The worst part is there is no bathroom and no food!
